Facebook Video Downloader

Facebook Video Downloader

Paste a public Facebook video link below to see which file options are available. You can use a normal facebook.com address, a Facebook Watch link, or an fb.watch share link.

SaveFBS does not sign in to Facebook or use your account. Videos that are private, deleted, restricted, or visible only after login will not work.

Supported Video Types

  • Videos on public Facebook pages
  • Videos on public profiles
  • Facebook Watch content
  • fb.watch short links
  • Recorded live videos that remain public

How to Download a Facebook Video

Step 1: Get the right link

Open the video itself. Then use Share or the three-dot menu and choose Copy link. On a computer, you can also copy the address from the browser bar. Avoid copying a profile or comment link.

Step 2: Paste it into SaveFBS

Put the copied address in the box at the top of this page and select Check download options. SaveFBS will check the public link and list any files returned for it.

Step 3: Pick your quality and download

Choose the option that fits your needs. A clearer file is useful for text or a large screen. A smaller file uses less storage and data. Your browser controls where the file is saved.

What If the Download Fails?

A few things can cause this:

  • The copied address points to a profile, feed, or comment instead of the video.
  • The video is private, friends-only, or only visible to group members.
  • The creator removed the video or changed who can see it.
  • The video is limited by age or region.
  • The public source or processing service is temporarily unavailable.

If the video opens in a private browser window and the copied link still fails, wait a few minutes and try again. You can also send the error message through the contact page.

A Word on Quality

SaveFBS shows the versions returned for the public link. It cannot add detail that is missing from the original upload. An HD option will only appear when an HD file is returned.

Responsible Downloading

Download content you created, have permission to use, or are legally allowed to save. A public post is not the same as permission to republish, sell, or edit somebody else's work.
