How SaveFBS works
SaveFBS runs on a web page. You copy a public Facebook link, paste it into the site, and choose a file when one is available.
There is nothing to install. This is useful on a shared computer or a phone where you do not want another app or extension.
The tradeoff is simple: you must copy and paste the link each time. The public URL is also sent to the SaveFBS server and its processing provider.
How an extension works
A browser extension stays installed. It may add a button to Facebook pages or watch for media while you browse.
That can save time if you use it often. It also means the extension may ask for access to pages you visit, downloads, or other browser features. The exact access depends on the extension.
Read the permission screen before installing anything. A video extension should not need your Facebook password.
Which one is easier on a phone?
SaveFBS works in a normal mobile browser. Many extensions are designed for desktop browsers and have limited support on iPhone or Android.
